Support and Critique
Step 1. Set up the chairs as shown. The project creators sit in the red chairs and explain their project (no one else speaks). (5 mins)
Step 2. The Peers ask clarifying Q's requiring brief factual answers e.g.how many did you find?) (5 mins) Step 3. The Peers ask probing Q's (longer more detailed answers e.g. How did you decide on....? Why have you chosen....? Please explain ......). Leader Peer asks the Project presenters about any burning concerns they have. (5-7 mins). |

Step 4. Project presenters move back and don't speak but listen. Peers discuss the project, how they understand it and what they might suggest (kindly). (5 mins)
Step 5. Project presenters say what they have learnt from the experience and what changes they may consider making. Peers are quiet. Hint One peer may want to keep the time and be the one to move the group through the stages; he/she can also remind everyone to use warm careful and gentle words to be constructive without being unkind, focus on the work and suspend judgement. e.g. Have you thought about? Interesting....can you explain this section? How will you....? I am not sure I understand, can you explain this section please? Week 3 Types of Questions and GuidanceThis may not take long but before the Voki is completed.

This is a critical time in the inquiry and may take longer. It gives the presenters more time to review and refine their project.
Clarifying - What was your greatest source of information so far? Do you think there is more information out there? Where are you going to go next for information? Are you collecting Qualitative or Quantitative data? How has your problem changed?
Probing -What has tripped you up so far? What has been the most interesting and unexpected aspect so far? What are the areas that worry you? How have the sources of knowledge shaped up? Are you happy with the quality and depth of the data you have collected? Where do you feel you go from here to complete your project ?
