FAQ responses
FAQ 1. Technology
If I have my own technology can I use it?
Answer
YES PLEASE :) We are really hoping you have a laptop or tablet to use as this will help with data storage and availability of on-line materials and browser history. So please, please bring your technology to class and we will help you connect, use, install, adapt etc.
We have trolleys of iPads and as you may know they are tricky bits of technology which are synced and cleared every night. There are some things they do well (email and apps) and some things they don't (data storage, flash, word etc etc). For our unit they don't do flash well (Voki) and they do not have USB ports so storing information is difficult.

FAQ 2. Participation
Do I have to come to class (as an internal student). What are the expectations?
Answer
You need to ensure that you seek as much help as you need. Imagine as a classroom teacher you have a student who never attends, says nothing and then at the end of the semester finally turns up and complains they can't do the task. Our advice is seek help as early as possible and come to class, as these classes are designated times to get help if you are an internal student. If you are a Regional student use specified Board, Blackboard Collaborate, and then email. We do keep a role to monitor your levels of engagement and participation. The critique weeks are times where you really need to support your peers and attend to listen to their ideas and give them feedback and get their help. Please attend on these sessions - your peers will appreciate your support.

FAQ 5. Getting help before submission
If I send you work can you have a look at it before I submit it?
Answer
While we would love to, with nearly 300 students in the unit you can see this would be really unfair unless we did it for everyone. Remember the Formative assessment is designed to give you feedback as you go. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE ADVICE GIVEN TO YOU BY YOUR TUTOR FOR YOUR RESEARCH PROPOSAL. Use the Assessment Rubric to guide you for the Report. You will also receive feedback after you submit your final report. If you are concerned reread the instructions.
